PB : English Common Carp 21lb 12oz, grass carp 23lb 8oz, French Carp 36lb
Favourite bait: the virus range, Fruit explosion and pineapple pop ups
I started fishing a couple of years ago, with my hubby, we only went occasionally to a club water he belonged to near Colchester. My stepdad then got him onto a private syndicate lake near us and a friend of mine took it over so that’s when we started going more often which is when I got really into Carp fishing, I started buying all my own equipment and went to see Dave at Eclipse for some bait and the rest is history! My main go to bait is the Eclipse Virus range, I tend to fish mostly on Pop ups as they work very well in the lakes we fish. During the last year we have been fortunate to be able to fish an unknown lake in a private estate. I have been targeting their Grass Carp and they are my favourite, I love their spirit on the bank and they are stunning fish. For these I find the fruit flavoured pop ups work best and I have at least one pot of each Eclipse fruit flavours and go between them all. Not only have I caught some great grass carp but also some fantastic commons and mirrors. Had my first French Fishing trip this year and got my PB of 36lb among other lovely carp. Can’t wait to see what this year brings
